Loads of Nottingham Forest fans were delighted to hear that their players and staff had tested negative for coronavirus.
The club’s owner Evangelos Marinakis announced on Tuesday that he had contracted the virus on Instagram, just days after he attended our 3-0 defeat to Millwall in the Championship. We currently sit fifth in the standings, 10 points behind West Bromwich Albion in second and five points ahead of Bristol City in seventh.
After our promotion hopes took a serious blow, it was feared that games could be postponed or even cancelled in light of the Greek businessman’s health concerns. But Forest put out an official statement which confirmed all players, staff and officers did not test positive for the virus.
As a result, supporters were delighted with the news and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the club should “announce promotion” to the Premier League.
