Sky Sports News are reporting that Forest winger Paul Anderson has opened talks with Championship rivals Blackpool, hoping to secure a new deal with the Seasiders.

It’s understood that Anderson has not been offered a new contract to stay at the City Ground and is now free to talk to other clubs’.

Anderson first joined the Reds’ on a season long loan back in 2008 and signed a permanent deal in 2009, when we paid Liverpool £250,000 for his services.

It’s not unkind to say that for the majority of his time here, he has been injured and has failed to live up to the reputation he earned himself whilst at Swansea. Perhaps a fresh start is what both he and Nottingham Forest need.
