And Now For The Good News

Rumours on the terraces, were that NFFC had been renting the entire West wing of the Queens Medical Centre, in a bid to cope with their injury crisis. But news coming out of the City Ground, is that the injury list is depleting and that key players are set to return.

So far this campaign the club have had almost every member of the first team squad in the treatment room for one thing or another. Only keeper Paul Smith has escaped unscathed so far and it’s a good job, as we don’t have cover for him (at least not adequate cover).

The good news today, is that midfielder Lewis McGugan, is set to make his comeback in a reserve game against Walsall tomorrow. The game at QPR on Saturday may be a little early for him in terms of the first team, but it’s good news nonetheless and means he can only be a game or two away from a full return.

Lewis has missed the last nine games with a torn thigh muscle and has been missed more than most. Also on the verge of first team action are the newbies Garner and Anderson. Hopefully they will be in line for their first start against Rangers at the weekend and get us back to winning ways. Striker Robert Earnshaw is still a doubt, but the international break has hopefully given him the time needed to recover from a hamstring injury.
