And Calderwood Makes Three

Three former Forest managers who were deemed not good enough to do the job on Trentside, are finding plenty of work in the Premiership. Gary Megson is in charge at Bolton, Paul Hart has just taken the hotseat at Portsmouth and Joe Kinnear was the man trusted with ensuring the Prem status of Newcastle, until he was taken ill at the weekend.

After it emerged today that BFJ was to undergo major Cardiac surgery, another former Forest boss Colin Calderwood and his former Spurs buddy, Chris Hughton were put in charge of the Geordies. It’s only a few short weeks since Calderood was given his marching orders from the City Ground, after it was looking very much like he was taking us back down to League 1. He must be pinching himself today and at the same time wondering what the hell he’s done to deserve such good fortune.

Some might say that we were secretly plotting the downfall of Newcastle, Portsmouth and Bolton, in the hope that we play them next season in the Championship. The way it’s looking at the moment for those teams, it’s a distinct possibility.
