Nottingham Forest beat Derby County 1-0 at the City Ground on Monday evening and Jack Robinson was one of the players singled out for his performance. The left-back drew praise from some fans after impressing at the City Ground. He assisted Yohan Benalouane for the winning goal and was outstanding throughout.
#NFFC's back five were magnificent. @YohanBenalouane and @MilosevicAlex won everything while Darikwa, Robinson and Pantillimon barely put a foot wrong.

Liking this back 4 now for us, Benalouane with a Morganesque performance tonight and Milosevic compliments very well, Robinson looking much better than he did earlier in the season #NFFC

Laws: ''I don't think in the Championship you'll see anyone as good as Jack Robinson at Left Back at this moment in time''. #nffc

Robinson made 60 touches, 28 passes with 71% accuracy, three chances, three successful dribbles and won six aerial duels over the 90 minutes. The 25-year-old has been an inspired signing by Forest. The Reds brought him to the City Ground on a free transfer from Queens Park Rangers and he’s gone on to make 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals.
He’s operated at both left-back and centre-back in his debut season and has missed only one league game since August which was through suspension. Robinson has been a fantastic acquisition and has made an important contribution to their hopes of attaining promotion. The win put Forest within touching distance of a playoff place.
Martin O’Neill’s side are currently eighth in the table with 50 points from 34 games, coming off the back of two wins and two draws from their last four.
