Nottingham Forest have confirmed this evening that 23-year-old striker Zach Clough has now returned back to Rochdale and Spotland.

The young striker has 15 starting appearances to his name in our shirt, with a further 15 showings from the substitutes bench, returning four goals. Having fallen out of favour though he returned to Bolton Wanderers last season on a loan spell for the second half of the year and this season we sent him to the League One side.

The opening half of the 2018/19 campaign saw him only make five starts and four substitute showings – returning one goal and he came back on the opening day of the New Year.

With the deadline window not far off closing, he simply completes a move back to them as he searches for greater game time and despite his first spell being seriously hampered by injury, the Spotland outfit seem to be delighted to welcome him back in the hopes of getting more from him in the coming months.

Let’s hope he stays injury free and ends the campaign on a high.
