“£20m+ Will Just About Do It” – I’m Not Sure Forest Can Put A Price On This Man

The January transfer window has now closed as all fans will know but that doesn’t stop some from attempting to spark summer transfer window stories and Nottingham Forest feature in a predictable media favourite this week – Aston Villa want Joe Lolley come the end of the season.

The original report comes from the Sun in an ‘exclusive’ and it hinges, as you’d expect, on Lolley being a stated Villa fan as a child and attempts to whip up a frenzy that he will be off should Forest miss out on promotion this year.

The claim is they will line up a speculated £12million offer in an effort to replace Jack Grealish should he move on, but given he’s been out injured for a few weeks, surely if they believed Lolley was the man to replace him, something concrete would’ve happened in the last window.

I don’t buy it personally, but we all know this won’t be the last Lolley rumour given the form he’s largely been in for us this year.

Surprised so many were open to the idea myself as that’s only a small selection of responses.
