Well, he’s going to have to be given a chance at some stage.

Might as well be this weekend.

Adama Diakhaby has found game time a little hard to come by so far this season, only starting nine games for Huddersfield Town before his move to the City Ground, and only getting two substitute appearances under his belt at his new club.

Now fans are starting to wonder if it’s time for him to finally have the shackles taken off him and given a runout from the start.

@CityGroundHQ asked the question yesterday whether or not he should start the game against Leeds United in place of Sammy Ameobi, and it certainly got the fans fired up. The opinion was rather split on the matter, with some finding the idea of dropping Ameobi preposterous, whilst others believed that the 27-year-old winger has done nothing to deserve being dropped in the first place.

Now obviously he doesn’t necessarily have to replace Ameobi, he could replace anyone on the team, but it would still be interesting to see what would happen if he were to be given the chance to shine from the outset rather than just as a substitute.
