Paul Konchesky has been issued with an automatic one match ban for his sending off in the 2-1 defeat at Norwich on Friday night.

The on loan Liverpool defender was given his marching orders, after picking up his second yellow card in the game. It means he will now miss the crunch game with Leicester City at the City Ground on Friday night.

Konchesky has made 13 appearances for Forest since his loan move from Liverpool in January and he’s been booked in 5 of those games. There are rumours of a return to his former club Fulham in the summer, so his future on Trentside could be coming to an end. It’s probably not too harsh a statement to make, in saying he has failed to live up to his Premiership ranking whilst here at Forest. That said, he’s probably still better than what we have to fill the void in the left back position.
